Contrasting "Rent Reviews"
A final note to this semester:
I loved the movie; I cried and it's very rare that I cry at movies
My brother called me Sunday night and asked me if I liked the movie. When I told him I did, he explained that he hated it because he couldn't form an emotional attachment to the characters and thus couldn't care about their troubles. They "became sick and were poor because of bad lifestyle choices." After trying explaining to him how that and other comments were offensive he still didn't get it, then I really understood the prejudice against AIDS.
